Australia celebrated Father’s Day yesterday, so this is for my dearest father. I realise I am very lucky to have a dad like you.
For my dad; my solid ground, my background vocals, my biggest fan. For being kind and encouraging in an unkind, cruel world. For loving Mum, and for loving us even when we were very difficult to love. For your really bad dance moves and unapologetic love of Adele. Even for your terrible jokes and childhood stories we have heard a thousand times (And allll they had was tea!).
I am me only because you are you. Thanks, Dad. I love you.
