There are many who care but we are not in positions of power nor do we possess great wealth. Sadly government is controlled by those who are rich and in authority.
It is kind of a shame. As a kid in school, when we studied about the fall of the historical great empires… I speculated that surely there were sensible people alive back then that observed the impending implosion and were sad… and then I wondered if I was going to be a modern version of those people.
